Showers for Baby Blake

On of my best friends came to my baby shower for Blake.  We are due just a few weeks apart from each other!!
Some of my other best friends from high School, Aubrey and Heather.  They brought their cute daughters that look like miniatures of them.

My friends that I worked with at Dr. Taylor's office as a dental assistant.

Jane threw me a shower for all of my friends.  She has also been one of my best friends over the years.  She did such a good job with the food.  It all tasted so yummy.

My mom is my very best friend.  We talk daily like we're sisters.
While we were there we attended a funeral.  Craig was one of our husband's best friends in high school.  We went to lunch together after the funeral.
Scott's family threw me a shower.  Monique his sister hosted it and did a great job.

My friends from my ward in Centerville hosted a shower for me as well.  Megan and Paulina are so good to me.  I've enjoyed their friendship.
Sheila is one of my friend's from my ward in Centerville.  She just adopted this beautiful little Brianna a few months ago.  We are so happy for her and Joe.
Heather also helped with this shower.  She is such a good friend too.
Jessie was one of my friend's from the ward that came as well.  Emily is one of my friend's from working at Dr. Taylor's.  Her mom was in my ward and I used to visit teach her too.
My aunt Shana threw me a shower for my family.  She made that duck nest.  It had all of the gifts she got me inside it.  She did a rubber ducky theme and it turned out so cute.

The food was amazing too.

Tucson AZ here we come

This is us at the Pima Air and Space museum.  I was shocked at how big it is.  I've never seen so many planes in my life.  We arrived in Tucson on February 1, 2014.  It took us two days to drive our big penske truck down there.  Scott drove the penske truck.  I drove my car and Scott's dad drove Scott's car.  The penske truck moved really slow especially up hills.  We spent the night in Kingman Arizona on January 30 and then drove in to Tucson the next day.  Scott's dad stayed about 10 days at our house after and helped Scott move some of the heavy furniture around.  We also had a lot of help from our LDS ward here in Tucson.

I mad Scott take this picture.  haha
"B" next the bumble bee plane.
Saguaro National Park.  I must be dumb but I didn't know that the big cactus was called a saguaro.  There are more cactus than I've ever seen before here in Tucson.  It makes for a pretty scenery.  When we first got here it was about 60 degrees and everybody here was complaining that it was so cold.  I thought it was hilarious.  I thought it felt so good coming from Utah.  This week it's back to what it usually is, 80 degrees.

Footsteps for fertility 5k/ Invitro-fertilization/ pregnancy

Last year in 2012 we did a 5k called footsteps for fertility.  For every person that signed up for the 5k you got a raffle ticket for a free round of invirto. (an expensive infertility procedure that we were told was necessary for us)  We mainly got our families and a couple of friends because I found out about it probably a month or two before the race.

our other two nephews Max and Mason

We didn't win this year but it was definitely worth a shot!

So we found out they were doing the same race in August 2013.  We entered again.  This year they gave away 2 free rounds of invitro.  Shockingly enough we won the very first one.  We were so excited.

We had a ton of support this year.  All of our families, tons of our friends, neighbors, and some of my parent's friends.

We started the invitro process as soon as we were able to.  In November the finishing procedures were done. (egg extraction and embryo transfer)  I talked to a lot of people who had done it before and I'll be honest I was scared because of there explanations.  It ended up not being that bad.  I felt like a little bit of pain was nothing if I was able to conceive a baby.  They extracted 22 eggs from me.  14 of them were mature eggs.  Out of the 14, 7 fertilized.  The day of our embryo transfer, we found out that only 2 survived out of the 7 and that they were only rated fair quality.  So instead of a %60 chance we only had a %40 chance of it working.  The picture above is of the two surviving embryos.

And we're pregnant!!! We are so excited. It was amazing to hear the heart beat.  We're due August 9.

Great-Grandpa Fords funeral

My great grandpa passed away.  He was a great man.  He was the best example to me of a perfect marriage.  Him and my great grandma did everything together and they treated each other with so much love and respect.  He has been waiting to see her for two years now and finally is reunited again with his sweet heart.

Footsteps for Fertility 5k

A couple of weeks ago we did a 5k called footsteps for fertility.  We created a team called Allen and for every person that signed up on our team, we got a raffle ticket for a chance at winning free invitro. I was so shocked when we were called out as the first of 2 couples to win.  I've never felt so blessed by my heavenly father and so blessed to have so many friends and family support us.  We've never done invitro before because of the cost of it. We have been married for over 8 years and have been trying to get pregnant for about 4 years.   So we're so super excited to have the opportunity to try it.  We will be going through the treatment shortly and hope to be pregnant by the end of the year.

Allen Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July

Scott and his cute little nephew McKay.
Every  year we go to the Oakley rodeo with Scott's family.  We've gone ever since we were dating.  This is the first year that it rained.  We still had a blast though.  Oakley puts on quite a show.  They always have fireworks as well.

Lake Powell 2013

We go to Lake Powell every year with Brittney's family and some friends.  Lately we've been renting a house boat. Brittney's family and one of the other families usually brings a ski boat.
