Christmas 2010

Scott and I stayed up at his dad's place at the St. Regis in Deer Valley on the 23rd and then he went skiing with his dad on the 24th at Deer Valley. I also went skiing with my family on the 24th to Park City.
We stopped and ate lunch at Davanzas. It's just off of the town lift. It's super good food. I got a Philly sandwich. Yum.

Here's little Stocky sitting on Santa's lap on Christmas Eve. (ha, ha)
I gave Scott an electric Shaver for Christmas and he gave me a speedometer to go on my bike. We both got way too spoiled by our parents. We got lots of things including park city passes, jazz tickets, and a video camera. I can't wait until we have children because then hopefully everyone will spoil our kids more than us.

Temple Square/ Spaghetti Factory with the Ford Family

Every year on the Sunday before Christmas, we go with Brittney's mom's extended family to the Spaghetti Factory and to see the lights at temple square. Grandma GaNene gives all of the grandkids ornaments every year to go on their christmas trees and Grandpa Keith pays for all of us to eat at the Spaghetti Factory. After walking around temple square to see the lights, we go and get hot chocolate at Dee's to warm up. It' a fun tradition that we look forward to every year.
This is all of the grandkids and grandma and grandpa.

This is a picture of all of the aunt and uncles with grandma and grandpa.

Ford Family Progressive Dinner

We do a progressive dinner with Brittney's mom's side of the family every year for Christmas. Up above is actually a picture we took for my mom's Christmas card right before the dinner.

This is a picture of my grandma, aunt Shana, cousin Sadie, and me and my mom.
We started out this year at my Aunt Shana's house for the salad. The salad was really yummy. It had blackberries and pomegranates on it. She also made a home made cheese ball that was good, too. This is a picture of their family up above.
The next place we stopped was my uncle Brent's. He had the main course. We ate a sweet roast turkey and the chili cranberry sauce on it was to die for. My aunt Chris usually reads a Christmas story to us while we're there. Up above is a picture of some of their family. Some of my cousins couldn't make it.

Last of all we went to my parents for Cheesecake from Cheesecake factory. (One of my very favorite things to eat.) My dad always has us do a nativity story. I was the evil King Herod this time. Scott was a Shepard and the inn keeper.
My uncle Scott and his wife were out of town this year. But in the past we usually have an appetizer that we stop at.
I just love being with all of my cousins and extended family. It's great that we are able to celebrate the birth of our savior together. I love Christmas time because it helps us to remember that Jesus walked on this earth and made it possible for us to become like him.

Halloween 2010

We had a fun Halloween this year. We carved pumpkins. It's one of our traditions that we do together. Scott carved a skeleton and Brittney carved a witch. On the Friday before Halloween we went to the haunted village. Halloween is Scott's favorite holiday so we make it a tradition to go to a haunted house, too. On Saturday we watched a movie and passed out the candy to the cute, little trick or treaters. I think that some them got rained out because we only got half as many as we did last year.

We go on something we call the "pumpkin run" every year a few weeks before Halloween. This is a tradition that we do with my mom's side of the family. We go up to Madox in Brigham City. On the way up their we stop at a bunch of fruit stands and pick out our pumpkins to carve for Halloween. I love Madox. Their rolls are so yummy. I think it's because we only go once a year to eat there.
Ha, ha. I thought this picture was funny because our heads are covering up our pumpkins,

Yellowstone Adventure

We went to Yellowstone with Scott's Family. We stayed for a weekend in a cabin. We say lots of buffalo and some elk. We couldn't get a picture of it but we saw a grizzly bear that had just killed something and 6 wolves were trying to eat his food. It was fun seeing the bear chase off the pack of wolves. We hope to make it back there next year. All of the leaves were changing and it was just really beautiful.

Brittney and Scott's hike

Before Scott went on his mission, we hiked a trail in fruit heights that we named our hike. It has a beautiful waterfall at the very end of it. We went on it probably 3 times before the mission. Scott carved our initials on a rock by the waterfall. Unfortunately, it's faded but luckily our love hasn't. We haven't gone on it too many times since we've been married. We went up with Aubrey, Bryce, and Jayda one of the weekends last month (Sept). It's always fun to bring back memories from so long ago. (probably 8 years ago that we first went on the hike together)

Weekend trip to Wendover

Scott has been flying airplanes for 3 years now. He has pretty much every license and rating you can get. He was a flight instructor for a while in hopes of building his hours to become a pilot that works for Delta or sky West. With how the economy has been there wasn't very many flight students out there. So he has decided to go back to school to become an air traffic controller. He plans to fly enough to keep his licenses current. I'm so proud of him. He works very hard and is a great pilot. He had some time in a twin engine plane that he needed to use or he would lose it. So we asked Bryce and Aubrey if they wanted to go on a weekend trip to Wendover with us.
Here's us in Wendover in front of the twin engine plane. It was my first time in that kind of a plane. I've only been in the single engine planes with him before. It took us only 40 min. to get there. We ate at the seafood buffet and for the first time I played black jack. Both me and Bryce won a little bit of money from it.

Octoberfest at Snowbird

I went up to snowbird with Scott's family. Scott couldn't go because he was in charge of a golf tournament for his work at CR England. We had a great time. We hiked up the mountain to ride the tram down. We then went on the alpine slide with the kids. Scott has three little nephews; Mason-6 Max-4 Mackay-10 months. They are so cute. We love seeing them every chance we get.
Here's Mackay taking a ride on his mom's back.

Lava hot springs and Toby Keith/ Trace Adkins Concert

We went to Lava Hot springs this weekend. We camped over in Smith's Trout farms. We went to the hot pots Friday night and then I attempted to make our first tin foil dinners that night. They turned out edible so that was good. We made smores also that night. Then the next day we floated the river for most of the day. The river was a little cold especially in the morning but we had lots of fun. We hurried back to make it to the Toby Keith and Trace Adkins concert Saturday night. The concert turned out to be a great concert. My favorite song was Trace Adkins song "One hot mama". Toby Keith put on quite the show. He's a pretty good entertainer.

Trace Adkins performed first. We had seats out on the grass, so these were the best pictures I could get.

Then Toby came out on his Ford truck. It was a pretty cool entrance.

Brittney's 25th birthday

On my birthday, me and my mom went shopping all day and we went out to lunch. She got me some scrubs and some shorts. We then went to Cheesecake factory for dinner with Scott and the rest of my family. We went to a Bees game that night too. The fireworks were awesome there. What I really wanted to do was go skiing for my birthday but my dad had to work. So he took us the next morning. We took Bryce and Aubrey with us. It was so much fun. Everybody got up on the wake board except my dad because he's not allowed to with his broken foot. We even got the wake surfer out. There's no where I'd rather spend my birthday than on the lake.

Sadie came and also one of Stockton's friends, Kylie. My dad and Weston were there too.

I was the first one to jump in but I was surprised that the water was nice and warm.

Here's a picture of me and Scott wake boarding. Scott definitely gets more air than I do.

Tyler didn't go with us because he had to work at Baskin Robbins. He called me after we got home and surprised me with a cake he made for me at work. I'm so lucky to have such a thoughtful brother. I definitely got spoiled this year. Scott got me some new shoes for work and I got a lot of other stuff too from everyone else. I can't believe I'm a quarter of a century old. Time flies too fast.
