Lake Powell June 2012

Lake Powell is our favorite place to vacation with family and friends.

 There's always a lot of playing or relaxing going on.

 This year someone brought horseshoes.  We had fun playing it on the beach.

Yesterday we ran a 5k that was called Dylan's Dash.  It was to help Dylan (20 years old) because he had his leg amputated after a surgery went bad.  It was a neat experience to help someone that we didn't even know.  Scott took third in the 5k and I was just happy to finish without walking.  They had a silent auction afterwords.  There was some pretty awesome U of U games you could win.  We didn't win any of those but won some of the smaller items.  It was a great way to spend father's day weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend

 Over Memorial day weekend we went to Las Vegas.  Scott's dad owns a place at the MGM Signature.  We were able to stay there and it was just nice to get away together.  It was perfect weather, so we went swimming a lot.  We ate at the Mandalay Bay buffet where we both gorged ourselves on crab legs.  We went to the shark exhibit there too.  One of the nights we went to the show battle of the kings because Scott had never seen it before.  Scott's dad rents out the signature, so we try to take advantage of using it when he's not.
