Bahamas Cruise

Scott and I went on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean.  We went on the Carnival boat Victory.  We went to three different ports; Freeport,  Half Moon Cay, and Nassau.  We've been on one other cruise together with Scott's family to the Western Caribbean six years ago.  We went on this cruise to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary.

As we're leaving Miami, Florida on the cruise boat.
In Nassau, Bahamas we went to a resort called Atlantis.  It was the most amazingly beautiful places I have ever been.  It has one of the largest aquariums in the world.  It also has a fun water park that goes through it.  A couple of the slides you get to see sharks swimming around you as you go down the water slides.
Every night you would get a towel animal on your bed with a couple of chocolates.  We couldn't agree what this one was.  We found out it was supposed to be a bunny.

This is the biggest fish I've ever seen in my life.  It was way bigger than even the sharks that we saw.
Dolphins are my favorite animals, so I couldn't get enough of them.  You could swim with them, too.

There was this eight year old boy that was dancing on this stage by the pool.  That boy could shake his hips. He was a really good dancer.   He danced for hours up there while everyone was watching and cheering him on.

They have a lazy river there but they also have a rapid river too.  This part a giant wave pushes you on the tube.  I'll be honest, I fell off a couple of times.

I hope we get to go back to Atlantis one day.  It was a blast.
These pictures are of Half Moon Cay.  It's a private island that Holland America owns.  It was gorgeous that day and we had the whole island to ourselves.  The beaches are so pretty in the Bahamas.  White soft sand and crystal clear, blue water.  We both did some snorkeling there.

We also went to Freeport, Grand Bahama.  We rented a scooter and toured the island by ourselves.  They drive on the left side of the road there.  So it was hard to get used to driving that way.

This is at their national park.  It was really pretty there.

Gold Rock beach where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean.  We had the whole beach to ourselves that afternoon.

It was super shallow all of the way out there.  That is Scott out there waving.

He's kneeling right there.

In Freeport we went to the Garden of the Groves.  It's a botanical garden and was so beautiful.
